José entered the Jesuits in 2019. Prior to joining the Society of Jesus, he studied Psychology at UC Irvine and worked as a caseworker for Catholic Charities. As part of his formation, he studied Philosophy and Spiritual Direction at Fordham University. He currently serves as a Campus Minister at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, CA. In his free time, José enjoys video games, working out, and junk journaling.

What a decade for the Jesuits! The 2010s included Sister Jean’s Final Four run, Missy Franklin’s gold medals, new books by James Martin, S.J., the founding of Arrupe College in Chicago, the canonization of Peter Faber, the birth of The Jesuit Post, and (oh yeah!) the election of Pope Francis.
