Raised in Texas, Eddie formerly taught high school chemistry and practiced as a family physician before getting in trouble for listening to God's deepest desires for him. A convert to Roman Catholicism, he entered the Jesuits in 2012, where he studied philosophy in Spanish in Guadalajara and worked at Santa Clara University with immersion trips. Currently serving as a deacon, he is completing theological studies in spirituality until his priestly ordination in June 2022.

What a decade for the Jesuits! The 2010s included Sister Jean’s Final Four run, Missy Franklin’s gold medals, new books by James Martin, S.J., the founding of Arrupe College in Chicago, the canonization of Peter Faber, the birth of The Jesuit Post, and (oh yeah!) the election of Pope Francis.
