Bryan P. Galligan, SJ studies social philosophy at Loyola University Chicago, where he has written about the intersections between human rights and natural ecosystems. He also has a background in marine ecology. Bryan was born in Rhode Island, where he was mostly raised by a kind family of pinnipeds. Sadly, he was eventually rejected by his pinniped brethren due to his propensity to seek out and spend time with sharks (what a polarized world we live in). He later studied biology and theology at Fordham University and worked as a fisheries biologist before entering the Jesuits in 2017.
