It’s not clear if Justin Bieber – the singer of “Never Let You Go” and “Boyfriend” – actually “let” Selena Gomez “go.” Some sources say it was likely the other way around. What is clear is that the Biebs and Sel are no longer together, and like any breakup, there’s sadness and confusion, but most people are more interested in who knew what, and when they knew it. So, if the pain of not knowing is getting too intense for you, know that relief is on the way.
Back in October, Bieber gushed about Gomez in an interview with talk show queen Oprah Winfrey. Popes, Princes, and paupers have confessors, and pop stars like Bieber have Oprah. I’m curious to learn from this “confession” what made Bieber hopeful about his relationship with Gomez just nearly a month before.
It’s interesting to see how Bieber has changed since his chat with Oprah. It will also be interesting to watch how the end of the puppy love with Gomez will affect the young and optimistic artists’ future relationships and music. After all, relationships shape, form, and inform us permanently. Is he going to switch over to the breakup genre of the older (and less hopeful) Taylor Swift. What do you think, Perry?
Whereas Swift’s “never ever” says “it’s over,” Bieber’s “Never Say Never” says “it’s just beginning.” Recently, Gomez and Bieber were seen together. Could this be a new beginning?
The interview will be aired on November 25, and Oprah calls it, “The biggest thing I’ve done since Michael Jackson in 1993.” Let’s see the strength of the Bieb’s “never” and if it will come through to “make it right.” Let us know if you think Bieber could be the new King of Pop.
So, don’t miss this! That would be bad.
