Joe grew up in Indiana and earned a B.A. in English from Hillsdale College. For fifteen years, he served as Literary Manager for the Drama Division at The Juilliard School in New York, where his plays The American Occupation and Dangerous People featured Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver, respectively. In 2013, after a job as Creative Director of Estevez/Sheen Productions at Warner Bros., Joe entered the California Province. His parents, who still live in Indiana, are among the Hoosiers who will never quite understand how the whole “Province” thing works.
