Little Way of Love | One-Minute Homily

by | Sep 21, 2025 | One-Minute Homily

Each day is packed with many to-dos. Jose Oros, SJ reflects how this Gospel invites us to view these everyday tasks as an opportunity to love. Based on the readings for the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time.

“How is God calling us to greater love?”
Hi, I’m José Oros, and this is my One-Minute Reflection.
Whether its helping with the collection at church, doing the dishes or taking out the trash at home, our lives are full of small and mundane tasks.
But in Luke 16, Jesus reminds us:
“The one who is trustworthy in small matters is also trustworthy in great ones.”
God often entrusts us with the ordinary—not as a test, but as invitations.
To show up. To care. To love.
St. Thérèse of Lisieux called this the “Little Way”: doing small things with great love. Holiness isn’t about grand gestures, but about attending to the everyday invitations with a generous heart.
So today, what’s on your to-do list toward greater love?
