Hi, I’m Brian Kemper, and this is my one-minute reflection.
How often do we find ourselves asking: what should I do? Life is filled with transition: graduations, new jobs, navigating new relationships—you name it. Sometimes these big changes disorient us and call us to change course.
In today’s Gospel, many of Jesus’ disciples stopped following him. Jesus turns to the Apostles and asks if they, too, want to leave. Peter’s response is one that can resonate with us during moments of change: “Master to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
In everything we do, no matter the changes we make or the problems we are facing, we, too, are called to keep Christ at our center. Where else would we want to be, than close to Jesus?
So, as we continue to face moments of change in our lives, let’s keep Peter’s words in mind and have our relationship with Jesus be our guiding force.
