No place is God-forsaken, as Brendan Busse reminds us — not even, may we be so bold to claim, as the virtual space of the internet. God shows up here too, and that’s why we spend so much time hanging out here as well, in the watchtower, as Brendan puts it, pointing out God setting the world aflame with love.
This is a week where we have much to be grateful for. Across the U.S., a number of our Jesuit brothers were ordained to the priesthood, including two of TJP’s own: Jay Hooks and Paul Lickteig. As one of the prayers of the ordination rite puts it, “May God who has begun this good work in you bring it to fulfillment.”
