Perry once played in a children's band in New York City. On a related note, he has degrees in Theatre and Theology from Fordham University where he wrote his thesis on The Hold Steady. Originally from Tacoma, his false idols include the Mariners, Seahawks and Washington Huskies. He also worked at the Kino Border Initiative in Ambos Nogales. He is currently studying theology in Berkeley, CA.
