Mike is in First Studies at Loyola University Chicago. This is his second immersion into the Midwest – the first being at Marquette University where he first met the Jesuits and frozen custard. After a great two years of postgrad service in Micronesia with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and graduate studies in Religious Education at Boston College, he took the vocational plunge and entered the Culver City novitiate in 2013. When Mike is not studying, he enjoys thinking warm thoughts while strumming his ukulele, having coffee with friends, cooking, and finding new scone recipes.

A college basketball game, to have been played on Veterans Day 2012 between Marquette and Ohio State, was cancelled. Alarmist pacifist idealist critic Joe Hoover asks uncomfortable questions never the less.
