Matthew is a native of South Burlington, VT and has studied history and international relations. His desire for religious life emerged when he attended a speech given by Pope Francis in Washington, DC in 2015. After meeting the Jesuits in the DC area and learning about Ignatian spirituality, Matthew entered the Society in 2017. He is currently studying philosophy and theology at Saint Louis University.
