Luke Hansen, S.J., was an associate editor at America from 2012 to 2014 and studied theology at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, Calif. Before joining the staff at America, Hansen served for two years as volunteer coordinator at Red Cloud Indian School on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. He was ordained a priest in 2017.
