Joel Thompson, SJ

Joel is currently studying theology at Santa Clara University. After training and working as an electrical engineer in Guyana, he joined the Jesuits in 2011. Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si' and a passion for the environment inspired studies in the environment and development at the London School of Economics and Political Science. This was followed by two years working with indigenous youth in Guyana. Joel loves karaoke, playing the piano, and a good game of chess.
