Jesus wants to share the resurrection with you. Austin Kleman, SJ reflects on our shared invitation to enter a life of renewal and joy with Jesus after his resurrection. Based on the readings for Easter Sunday.
The body was stolen!?
Hi, I’m Austin Kleman, and this is my One-Minute reflection.
Happy Easter! It doesn’t matter what version of Jesus’ Resurrection story you hear; at some point in each of them, the dead body of Christ was not found in the tomb. No, Jesus rose from the dead. And with that resurrection, Jesus brings each of us the opportunity for new and eternal life.
Jesus has left the tomb, but have we? How often do we want to sit in our shame, hide in the darkness of despair, or wallow in self-pity? Let Jesus resurrect you.
Jesus wants to bring hope, peace, joy, and freedom to every part of our lives. To take our failures, sins, and mistakes and breathe new life into every crypt and tomb we hide in. But first, you need to let him in.
Jesus is risen! Not stolen.
