RJ was born and raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and has been known to belt out John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” in a variety of places and circumstances. He’s a bit of a science geek and had worked as a high school chemistry teacher and a hospital pharmacy intern before joining the Jesuits. He enjoys hiking, singing karaoke, playing trivia, reading, and watching films. He is currently studying social philosophy at Loyola University Chicago.
