Alex proudly hails from Sacramento, CA, graduating from Jesuit High School in 2005. His love of all things political led to a BA (Loyola Marymount University) and MA (Saint Louis University) in American Politics. Since joining the Jesuits in 2008, he taught government at Saint Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco, worked at Homeboy Industries in LA, and studied at Regis College in Toronto for theology studies. He was ordained a priest in 2018.
